Staying Safe This Halloween
Halloween is one of the most lively times of the year, with parents out and about, kids trick-or-treating, and teens throwing halloween parties, its important to prioritize safety while having fun. Here are 10 tips to have a fun and safe halloween.
Do not accept anything other than prepackaged candy and snacks when trick or treating. Stay away from anything home-made or brands that you do not recognize.
Share your trick or treating route/party address with your guardians/loved ones before going out. Also, make sure to share your location with friends you will be going out with and your gaurdians.
If you happen to be out and driving, make sure to drive extra cautiously from 5:30-7:30 PM, this is when most children are out trick or treating.
If your costume involves fake weapons make sure they are easily identifiable as replicas.
When going out to party, make sure to assign a designated driver beforehand or plan a safe mode of transportation to get home.
