Step Up Loudoun Youth Competition is an annual opportunity for Loudoun teens to make positive change in their lives and the lives of others. Students identify an issue, develop a plan to address the issue and implement their plan on a community level, with prizes awarded to the best in the competition.

The Summer Youth Leadership Institute is a partnership program for high schoolers developed and implemented by the Morven Park Center for Civic Impact and Loudoun County Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Youth Initiative Programs. This year the Summer Leadership Institute will take place Wednesday, July 31 through Friday, August 2, 2024 and will be held at Morven Park in Leesburg, VA. During these three days, students will learn how to turn their ideas into actions and actions into a legacy of leadership. From engaging challenges and logistical puzzles to volunteer service in real community settings, this experience equips students with the tools to be one of the most powerful influencers in history: the active citizen.

Hosted once again at the Loudoun County Fairgrounds, this year's event runs from July 23-27, 2024, and has more thrills and family fun than ever before. The 2024 Ocean Awareness Competition theme is “Tell Your Climate Story.” Students are invited to express their personal experiences, insights, or perceptions about the changing climate reality.
