What does community mean to you?
The Loudoun Symphony is pleased to announce "One Planet, One Community": a collaborative performing and visual arts experience for creative artists from around the county. A vision from Maestro Kim Allen Kluge, Loudoun Symphony Orchestra’s new Music Director, One Planet, One Community aims to bring the arts community in Loudoun County together for one spectacular event at the Ion Arena in Leesburg on June 2, 2024.
Visual artists of all ages and levels from around the county are invited to submit their creative response to the theme “One Planet, One Community.” All visual artwork that represents the given theme and is submitted by a Loudoun County resident will be accepted.
Submitted artwork will be celebrated during this event in many ways: integrated into the performance, the gallery walk, or our online exhibit. A select number of submissions will be mixed into a film to be projected to a larger-than-life screen during this live LSO performance alongside medal-winning ice dancers. Works will include Star Wars, E.T.: The Extraterrestrial, Holst’s The Planets, Star Trek, and U2’s Where the Streets Have No Name.
