Building a Morning Routine

Routine is defined as a consistent sequence of events you complete each day. Routines can be applied anywhere in life, you find people have workout routines, night routines, skin-care routines. It helps us find a kind of stability in our otherwise unpredictable daily lives. In my opinion, your morning routine is the most important of them all because it starts off your day. So here are my tips to create a morning routine that fits you no matter your lifestyle.

  1. Make a list of your daily priorities (don’t feel limited, list everything you want to get done each day. This could include working out, journaling, etc.)

  2. Figure out what time you would be able to wake up at, everybody needs a different amount of sleep. 

  3. Plan your priorities according to what time you plan to wake up. (Ex. If you wake up at 6AM and school starts at 8, you’d have more time to get things done rather than waking up at 7AM)

  4. Remember to include time to eat breakfast and get some sort of movement/outdoor activity in!

Everyone’s morning routines are different so don’t feel pressured to match someone elses routine. 

⭑ I love to take inspiration from other people and add new rituals to my routine. Some of my favorites are journaling and skin care.
