5 Friends To Have

You’ve probably heard the phrase, you are the sum of the five people you spend the most time around. The people you spend time around have an impact on you whether you notice it or not. They affect the attitudes and behavior you get exposed to. So here are five types of friends I think you should have around.

  1. The brutally honest friend - We all need someone to call us out when we aren’t being our best selves and someone to be honest with us.

  2. The spontaneous friend - The friend who introduces us to new things and forces us into new experiences. We all need somebody who pushes us to our limits and lets us live in the moment.

  3. The forever friend - The friend you’ve known since you can remember, someone who’s been by your side through all your ups and downs and knows you better than you know yourself. But remember, sometimes we grow out of these friendships and our roles in people's lives change through time. Don't feel pressured to stay best friends with people who are toxic just because you’ve been friends forever.

  4. The optimist - Everyone needs a friend who will encourage them to keep going and bombard them with inspirational quotes through the rough times, somebody who will always show them the bright side, even when it’s hard to find one.

  5. The overachiever - We all need a friend who inspires us with their success and shows us how hard work can pay off, the friend who can help us with homework or join us for a study session. Because at the end of the day, you pick up habits subconsciously from the people you spend time with.

Try to find these five friends in your life, and spend more time around them.
