Little Things To Help Your Community
Super late earth day post, but better late than never. If you ever have any free time on your hands these are some easy things you can do to help the planet and it’s people that serve you everyday ❦
Pick Up Trash- This one’s pretty simple and you can invite your friends to make the time go by faster. Make sure to wear gloves and use trash bags. Wherever you chose to help out, you’ll end up leaving it better than you found it!
Birdhouse monitoring- Here in Virginia bluebirds are getting harder and harder to find. This means we have to start taking care of them better. You can check out your community center/local groups for information to sign up for BlueBird Monitoring. All you do is check bird houses and make sure eggs are being laid, and it's a great way to get a daily walk in!
Reach out to local organizations/nonprofits- Organizations and nonprofits are always looking for helping hands, whether it’s organizing a food/supply drive, or coming into a shelter to help out with ongoing projects, this is a great way for students to get in easy volunteer hours!
