5 Healthy Habits to get into
Since the second semester has just ended, today I thought I would share some healthy habits to get into! While these habits are not particularly school-related, they will definitely come in handy throughout the school year.
Create a solid morning routine! Routines help us create balance throughout our days and give us some peace of mind, creating a strong morning routine will help you start off your day right everyday.
Reading, though this may seem like a boring thing to do or a waste of time compared to other things, reading will help you practice, focus and build your vocabulary, which will help you through the school year.
Working out, (and staying active). Working out does not have to look like going to the gym everyday for hours, you can do at home workouts, or go on walks or hikes. Adjust this one to your liking and do what makes your body feel good!
Take time out of your day to do things with the pure purpose of enjoyment and happiness. Whether it's a minute or an hour! This is an underrated form of self care. While many people picture self care as doing face masks, or pampering yourself with a fancy bath, doing things you enjoy is self care too.
Journaling, whether it's just writing about your day or making a to-do list. I think journaling can really help clear our minds and give us a fresh start.
